BROCK MÜLLER ZEGENBEIN, together with lawyer JOCHEN TERPITZ, had assisted Zelos Energy Developments GmbH – as the original developer and owner – with the sale of the project to BW ESS. BW ESS, the new global owner, invited not only Zelos Energy Developments GmbH to the event, but also representatives from the local council, the district authority and the state of Saxony-Anhalt, the Federal Association for Energy Storage Systems (BVES) and 50Hertz, amongst others. Minister Prof. Dr Armin Willingmann and Mayor Frank Ochsner praised the project as a key economic driver for the region and a significant contribution to creating greater flexibility in the electricity grid.
BROCK MÜLLER ZIEGENBEIN was represented at the ground-breaking ceremony by lawyer Judith Foest, who played a key role in securing the environmental permit for the battery storage facility from the district authorities.
