On the law firm's side, Dr Christoph Bialluch, certified lawyer for medical law and lecturer in medical malpractice law at Christian Albrecht University in Kiel, and Dr Susann Rochlitz, experienced trial lawyer in medical malpractice law, reported on their daily consulting practice: How do doctors experience the legal framework and confrontation with allegations of treatment and information errors by patients, what challenges exist in the documentation, explanation and communication of medical decisions, and what consequences does this have for the public image of the medical profession?
The exchange showed how important dialogue and mutual understanding are between medicine, law and journalism. All three areas share a common goal: trust through transparency and responsibility.
