Yilmaz Algin was awarded a doctorate in pure jurisprudence

Yilmaz Algin was awarded his doctorate on 30.04.2024 for a thesis on Hans Kelsen's Pure Theory of Law under Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Robert Alexy for his doctorate. This thesis was awarded the highest grade summa cum laude.

The title of the dissertation is "Die Interpretationstheorie der Reinen Rechtslehre". It deals with questions of legal interpretation theory, i.e. questions concerning the interpretation of legal norms. Mr. Algin includes contributions from Kelsen's students and thus paints an overall picture of the theory of interpretation of the so-called Vienna School of Legal Theory.
