Studied social sciences in Berlin (BA 2012), studied law in Kiel and Thessaloniki, Greece; completed her traineeship in Kiel, Berlin and Hamburg. Placements as a trainee lawyer at a law firm specialising in press law in Hamburg and at the Federal Press Office. Qualified as a lawyer since 2022, certified lawyer in administrative law.

Specialisation: Public law

Charlotte Gaschke advises clients with a focus on public construction law and local government law. Other areas of specialisation include heritage law, public broadcasting law, and media and freedom of expression law.

She is the author of numerous legal publications, for example on public construction law, press law and higher education law, and is co-author of the standard work on freedom of expression under public law.

Thanks to her background in social sciences, she brings a sociological and strategic perspective, as well as insights into political decision-making structures, to her legal work.

She is a member of the German Bar Association and of the Administrative Law Working Group within the German Bar Association, Schleswig-Holstein regional group.
