Dr Christian Becker is a certified lawyer in administrative law, focusing on public construction, planning, land development and environmental law; the law of public compensation (expropriation, compensation, state liability); public tax law; the law governing local authority special-purpose associations; and public media law.

He provides advisory support and, where necessary, legal representation in court regarding the development and implementation of major projects undertaken by the public sector and private investors, addressing all public law issues that arise in this context. This includes, amongst other things, the drafting and negotiation of public law contracts (e.g. land development agreements, implementation agreements, urban construction contracts, and transfer agreements), providing support during urban land-use planning, planning approval and licensing procedures, and the defence against claims by neighbouring parties in court.

Further areas of practice include licensing and supervisory proceedings under broadcasting law, the privatisation of local authority facilities, expropriation proceedings and the defence against claims for state liability.

Dr Christian Becker also heads a large notary’s office. In this capacity, he was appointed in 2020 by the President of the Regional Court as the notary administrator for the late partner Reinhard Ziegenbein.

Dr Becker is Deputy Chair of the Administrative Committee of the Schleswig-Holstein Pension Scheme for Lawyers.
