Dr Oswald Kleiner advises and represents companies and entrepreneurs both in and out of court in all areas of commercial law. Key areas of activity include the formation, reorganisation or sale of companies or their shares, particularly in the structuring of corporate succession. Close co-operation with the client's tax advisor and/or auditor is an indispensable prerequisite.

In the area of public procurement law, Dr Kleiner mainly advises public clients on the conception, implementation and judicial review of formal awards and structured bidding procedures, e.g. in the infrastructure sector, in the awarding of extensive construction services and in the context of public-private partnerships.

Another focus of Dr Kleiner's work is property law, in particular in the handling of transactions of various sizes and in the structuring and implementation of real estate transactions.

In inheritance law, Dr Kleiner advises clients out of court and in court. Here, the focus is often on drafting wills in order to ensure that the testator's wishes are honoured, taking into account all relevant criteria. This involves not only the succession itself, but also the right to a compulsory portion, depending on the circumstances. In the corporate sector, the significance of partnership agreements for the scope of inheritance law must often be taken into account.

Dr Kleiner is a member of the board of several foundations.
