With the acquisition of the family-run business Zech, igefa is strengthening its presence in Bavaria as part of its long-term growth strategy and further expanding its regional customer focus. Zech gains access to the opportunities and resources of igefa’s nationwide and international network, whilst continuing to operate under its existing brand and maintaining its widely appreciated close customer relationships.
BROCK MÜLLER ZIEGENBEIN had previously advised igefa on several similar acquisitions, most recently in 2025 on the acquisition of a 100 per cent stake in Julius Brune GmbH & Co. KG from Bielefeld.
With Tilmann Kruse and Dr Markus Jurawitz, BROCK MÜLLER ZIEGENBEIN has a well-established M&A team, which is supplemented as required by the firm’s in-house specialists in the areas of law relevant to the specific case. Thanks to close integration between the M&A and competition law departments, BROCK MÜLLER ZIEGENBEIN regularly handles – as in this case – both the transactions themselves and any necessary merger control proceedings before the Federal Cartel Office.
We are already looking forward to the next projects, hopefully once again in close collaboration with tax adviser/auditor Eric Zimmermann and the team at Kloppe & Partner, as well as Hartmut Winkelmann and the team at HWB.
